The ZAMWI Board of Trustees is elected for a two-year term. Trustees must meet the following requirements:
All elected and co-opted trustees shall be Ordinary Members and be residents of the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. (Article 5, Section 4)
The Ordinary Membership of the Association shall be open to all persons who have been formally initiated into the Zoroastrian religion and their spouses and children, whether natural or adopted. (Article 4, Section 1)
Only members of 18 years of age and over, except those of less than 3 months standing and Associate Members, shall have the right to run for any office. (Article 4, Section 5 (c) (iii))
All trustees shall be eligible to stand for re-election, provided no trustee shall serve more than 2 consecutive terms in the same office, nor shall 2 members of the same family serve on the Board. (Article 5, Section 6)
